I can’t fully explain why! Peru feels familiar, sacred and soulful to me. Every arrival feels like coming home.
I’ve explored almost every part of Peru over the last 6 years, including:
Cruising down the Amazon and participating in Ayahuasca ceremonies with the Shipibo tribes in Pucallpa, sitting with San Pedro in the Sacred Valley, and undertaking a deeply transformative 10-day plant dieta in Tarapoto.
Being moved to tears as the clouds parted upon my arrival at Machu Picchu and exploring the sacred archaeological sites of Cusco: Sacsayhuamán, Qenqo, Pukapukara, Chinchero, Pisac, Ollantaytambo and more.
Hiking through the Sacred Valley, Yucay, Pisac and Urubamba, plus taking on the heights of Rainbow Mountain, Lake Humantay, Apu Ausangate, and the Seven Lakes.
Discovering northern Peru, including the beaches of Mancora and Tumbes, and visiting Trujillo for the Temple of the Sun and Moon archaeological ruins.
Navigating Nazca, Ica, Huacachina, Paracas, Arequipa, and Colca Canyon, among others.
Relishing Peru’s diverse and delectable cuisine is a highlight on every visit.
Beyond these experiences, I love Peru for its rich biodiversity, from the lush Amazon rainforest to the stunning high Andes. The warmth and hospitality of the Peruvian people, the vibrant traditional festivals, and the deep connection to ancient wisdom and rituals all contribute to its magic. The sense of wonder and discovery never fades, and the landscapes offer a breathtaking backdrop for introspection and inspiration.
My travels have deepened my conviction that guiding others to these sacred lands is a significant and fulfilling aspect of my journey.
